Today, the RTi team again released new versions from their OpenAZbox Mod and AZup.
At first we are really glad to see there is a lot of development at this moment for our AZbox , old and new. So don't see this as critism!
In our view the stage of releases is not for the great public. A lot of sitenotes and a lot of new ways for flashing ( AZup ) comes with lot of opportunities for ( dangerous ) errors. Not everybody knows how to handle these errors.
For news about the OpenAZbox development, just read their forum. For everybody who wants to test: be carefull and be sure that you know what you're doing. Also be sure that you know how to handle errors like "stuck on booting".
When everything is stable and the flash programs (AZup) are more stable ( for some reasons they released 3 different versions of AZup in 10 days) we will continu with publishing about OpenAZbox.At this moment we think it will be too much confusing ( risk of using wrong AZup for wrong firmware ) for some people.
I think for Azbox ME and miniME its good to post the firmwares because if something goes wrong its so easy to unblock the receivers.I think they are the only receivers who have this function.
ReplyDeleteI know some user who had some serieus problems with their boxes. Some of them are still damaged and those are people with more skills then the average user. My advice is still: stay away from RTi untill they release a def. AZup and more def. firmware.
